October 2011 - From the Heart of A Cowgirl
Rebecca Hampton

October is such a beautiful time of year in the North Georgia mountains. I know it's
a little dry but it makes for great weather to be outside.

We started our drill team this month with eight horses and riders. We expect it to
grow as we practice and trust God to give us direction. It's exciting to watch God
pull it all together.

I just got back from my second certification in Equine Therapy and I am expecting
God to use this in a mighty way. There are many areas of mental health to use this
tool; grief counseling, emotional distress, sexual abuse and many more. This month
we started our first night with God's Special Cowpokes and what a blessing it was to
see the smiles on the faces of the boys as they interacted with the horses. I'm sure
this is going to grow when it gets a little warmer.

Praise God for His faithfulness. We just got the okay for the kids to get off the bus
for our youth program. We had one new boy on Monday night for a total of 13
kids. I'm sure the others will be back as soon as they get the word. We used to have
about 21 on Monday night. If you know horses and don't have anything going on
Monday night, give me a call. We sure could use you.

God really showed up and showed out pertaining to the roof on the ministry
center. God, North Central Missions and Etowah Roofing blessed us with a RED
commercial grade metal roof. We are under the BLOOD! We are so very
blessed. Pictures to follow (as soon as we finish the painting).

God never ceases to amaze me at how He meets our needs. Now to Him who is able
to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power
that works in us. Ephesians 3:20

One day we will ride with Him in white...
